I had time to paint a little bigger painting on my last summer vacation days. The location in this painting is a nearby lake where open water swimmers like to train, because it's long and narrow. It's safer to swim close to shore. Kaita = narrow, lampi = pond/lake.

I took some work-in-progress shots of this, too:

I enjoyed looking at the paintings at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen last month.
I hope you enjoy these photos I took of a few of them! Speaking of photos, all of the museums I visited in Copenhagen allowed photography, as long as flash was not used.
It's a shame that's not possible in Finnish National Gallery.

We spent our winter vacation in Copenhagen last month. I managed to squeeze in a couple of museum visits while there. Here are some of the beautiful sculptures I saw in Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek.
Henri Chapu, Jeanne d'Arc (on the left)
Auguste Rodin, one of the three large marble versions of The Kiss. Commissioned by the founder of Glyptoteket, Carl Jacobsen. Beautiful.
Per Hasselberg, Snowdrop
Hermann Wilhelm Bissen, Bathing girl
Degas's Little dancer
Some small Degas bronzes. There were a lot of these.
