Arto,

Gestures of the figures nicely done and also like your treatment of edges on the mother's hat and dress.

Hi mate,
I love everything in this painting. The composition is great, shadows are amazing, brushwork, edges, values. Its perfect! Is this a studio painting from a photo or did you plein air it?

Thanks a lot to you all for your nice comments!

William: I'm very happy with those edges, it was fun experimenting with them.

Jussi: Those kind of accents are always fun to do :)

E.Milz: This is a studio painting. I took a lot of reference photos when we were in Spain recently. This beach scene is from Altea.

Great work Arto, i know Altea very well, the painting has the light and ambiance of Sorolla, but with people of today, color and light edges composition, every thing is very good. Cheers.

Thank you very much Jesus! I saw a lot of Sorolla's works, and the light in his paintings was just amazing. Something to strive for. Cheers!

You are a masterful painter Arto. Are you interested in parting with this painting? Please contact me through my blog if this is something that you are willing to consider. Wonderful!
