Mother and son

Oil on canvas, 94x73 cm
I had to extend the Zorn palette with cad yellow medium and ultramarine deep to get more vibrant greens and blues.

Excellent work on the mother and child,The only thing that i have a bit of a problem is with the foreground of the lake, it has a lot less detail than the background,I know that water is hard, may be you dont need that much of (empty)space in the foreground. And may be I am totally wrong. It is just my opinion. In general I like the painting a lot.

Thank you for your comment, Jesus! It's nice to get feedback. I left the foreground intentionally less detailed, so it wouldn't compete too much with the focus point. There's no right or wrong in art, just different opinions :)

Whoa, this is almost psychedelic. The flow of the water contrasted with the sharp edges and higher level of render of the characters create a wonderful balance:)
THe warm green background and the rocks are very juicy!

Very good work! Great to see the progress and that you keep finding time to paint from your certainly busy schedule:)
